Employee Spotlight: Meet Jason Niebauer, Web Developer

At Exencial, we like to take time to celebrate the unique backgrounds, experiences and accomplishments of our team members. For this quarter’s employee spotlight, we are featuring Jason Niebauer, a web developer in our Frisco office.

Since Jason was onboarded in 2019, he has been building and maintaining a new reporting system that allows our advisors to spend more time meeting with clients and managing their portfolios. Jason has also been working with advisors to help deliver simplified, interactive reports for clients to access online.

While online access for clients is still in development, the reporting system was successfully rolled out earlier this year. Jason helps transition advisors to the new platform, familiarize them with its features and capabilities, automate reporting processes and provide technical support.

In this remote work environment, Jason misses his favorite part about working at Exencial — his colleagues. He appreciates the collaborative nature of his job and enjoys working through intricate and complicated challenges with his team.

Jason taught himself several different programming languages, including Python and JavaScript. In fact, Jason and I met while perusing programming books at a local bookstore. We got to chatting about technology development and ended up scheduling a professional meeting. After a few interviews, we knew Jason was a great fit for Exencial!

Prior to joining our team, Jason worked as a software developer building applications to accept payments. He has developed integrations with several different payment processing platforms and assisted in the development of enhanced credit card terminals you see today.

In his free time, you can find Jason researching new technologies or spending time with family. He is always in search of the best Japanese saké and enjoys kayaking and gardening.
