A Recap of Our Recent Webinar

Written by Exencial Wealth Advisors | Aug 5, 2019 2:46:05 PM

Thank you to everyone who participated in our mid-year client teleconference. We value your thoughtful questions provided on the call and appreciate the opportunity to discuss the areas of the market we are watching closely on your behalf.

During the webinar, Chief Investment Officer Tim Courtney examined several leading market indicators and identified potential causes behind seemingly conflicting recent U.S. economic data. He also addressed investors’ concerns over the inverted yield curve and discussed whether it is a sign of an impending recession. In that regard, Tim noted that even if the U.S. tips into recession in 2020, we will likely see a pullback more in line with historical averages in the 15 to 20 percent range as opposed to the 50 percent correction many are fearing. Lastly, Tim evaluated the current interest rate environment and explained why investors shouldn’t necessarily be applauding future rate cuts.

Additionally, Senior Analyst/Portfolio Manager David Yepez reviewed why we recently added Delta to our SELECT Strategy portfolio. David provided an overview of the current airline industry landscape and highlighted key reasons this sector could be positioned well.

If you have any questions about recent market activity or how to adjust your investment strategy for the rest of 2019, please contact your Exencial advisor. In case you were unable to join the webinar, click here to access the recorded version.
