After attending the University of Oklahoma and earning a master’s degree in accounting, Austin launched his career at Big Four accounting firm KPMG, where he specialized in audits for private equity funds across the United States. During his tenure with the firm, Austin recognized that his passion went beyond managing numbers – he wanted to make a tangible impact on people's lives. This realization led Austin to join the Exencial team in 2018 and leverage his expertise to guide clients toward sound financial decisions aligned with their values and aspirations.
Over the years, Austin's dedication has propelled him from an Associate Advisor position to Senior Wealth Advisor. In this capacity, he oversees all facets of his client's financial plans from investment management to tax planning, estate planning and overall financial well-being. When working with his clients, Austin strives to offer a personal CFO experience, helping them to focus on their individual needs.
Austin brings an additional layer of expertise to the table as a CPA, working with executives and entrepreneurs facing complex tax situations. Through his strategic approach, Austin aims to minimize taxes while ensuring clients' cash flows and investments reach their overall goals for success.
Building relationships with clients and celebrating their successes is Austin's favorite aspect of the job. Witnessing clients find peace of mind in their financial security is what truly lights the fire for him.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Austin's world revolves around spending time with his family, especially since the birth of his daughter. In his spare time, he also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes and techniques.
