In this quarter’s employee spotlight, we’d like to highlight the unique role and background of Lori Stephenson, Relationship Manager at Exencial.
Lori joined the firm in August 2018 after she and her family moved from Denver, Colorado to Choctaw, Oklahoma. Right off the bat, she knew Exencial was the perfect cultural fit.
Lori was particularly impressed by how Exencial treats their employees and clients alike with respect, integrity and transparency – values that closely align with her own.
As Relationship Manager, Lori is the primary point of contact for Exencial Direct clients, providing financial planning, investment guidance and account maintenance services. Her areas of expertise include retirement planning, asset allocation and estate conservation. As her job title suggests, Lori’s favorite aspect of the role is building lasting relationships with clients and helping them achieve financial freedom.
A career in finance wasn’t always part of Lori’s life plan. In fact, as an undergraduate student at the University of Northern Colorado, she studied kinesiology. Soon after graduation, however, she realized she wanted a career with greater stability and opportunity.
After working in customer service at a lighting company for 11 years, Lori decided to take her people skills and concierge mentality to the financial services field. In 2009, she took a position as a financial advisor at Edward Jones in Lakewood, Colorado. From there, she served as a financial services representative at MetLife of the Rockies and a high net worth associate at Fidelity Investments before joining the Exencial team last year.
Outside of the office, Lori enjoys being active with her husband, Mark, and their two children, Norah and Teagun. You may catch her cheering on her daughter at a volleyball match or son at a lacrosse game on the weekends. She also loves participating in any kind of water sport, especially dragon boat racing, white water rafting races and paddle boarding.
