This quarter, Exencial is proud to highlight Abraham Olalde, Tax Manager, based in our Dallas office.

Abraham began his academic career at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's of Science in Accounting. Through the Professional Program in Accounting, he found opportunities in public accounting and chose to specialize in tax, drawn by the depth of tax planning.

Following an internship with Ernst and Young, Abraham joined their Private Client Services division, working with high-net-worth individuals and businesses on complex tax matters. He then moved to Cantrell Pearson and Associates as a manager, leading a team and focusing on the specific needs of high-net-worth clients.

However, Abraham was intrigued by the idea of working in a wealth management firm that offered a more holistic approach to client service, combining tax strategy with comprehensive financial planning. This curiosity led him to Exencial Wealth Advisors, where he joined as a Lead Tax Senior in August 2022.

At Exencial, his impact was quickly recognized, leading to his promotion to Tax Manager. He now oversees a team of nine full-time employees in the Dallas office, handling both tax compliance work and advisory services. On a daily basis, Abraham collaborates with other managers to standardize processes and improve team efficiency. He finds great fulfillment in building relationships with clients and providing services that go beyond standard tax compliance, offering strategic advice that genuinely impacts their financial lives.

Outside of work, Abraham is pursuing a law degree to enhance his tax strategy and planning skills. Learning about different areas of law, connecting with his peers and finding new ways to apply his knowledge has been eye-opening for him. As a first-generation American, Abraham is passionate about financial education and is committed to teaching his children the importance of financial planning and smart money management. His personal life is full with his family, including his two young children.

Abraham appreciates the collaborative spirit at Exencial, where a strong team dynamic and access to valuable resources allow him to focus on building meaningful relationships with clients. He finds fulfillment in the firm's commitment to ongoing development, which aligns with his passion for growth, both personally and professionally.
